A Safe Space to Move Forward

One of ADROP’s core ministries in restorative justice efforts involves a delicate balance of art and practice. Each week, folks who have encountered the criminal justice system come together in our support groups to talk about the challenges they are facing.
ADROP has two primary groups: Adeodatus and Mary Mother of Captives. Both groups take a multi-pronged approach to supporting folks who have encountered the criminal justice system personally, as well as family members and loved ones who are seeking support for someone they know who has encountered the criminal justice system.
A core part of our groups is education around navigating the justice system. Over time, this has proven to be a proactive way to help decrease recidivism among folks returning to jail or prison.
Since the inception of these groups, ADROP has supported over 4,000 families.
While we continue to meet folks where they are, we also see the tangible change that can come from providing a safe space to process, find support, and move forward from difficult experiences.
